WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

First, may we wish all our customers - old and new - a very Happy, Healthy and Wealthy New Year.

Time - or at least the last four months or so - appears to have passed in a blur as we have one bit of good news after another. We've had so much fun! (Check out our Happy Chestnutting Feature from Focal Radio with Katie Johnson)

First, in late September, our 'Cider with Rosie Mustard' was voted Best Boozy Mustard on UKTV Food's Market Kitchen, beating Fortnum & Mason's very own Beer Mustard (we are very proud!).

Then on 20th October I appeared on the Alan Titchmarsh Show - my first ever TV appearance. It was great fun, even though I was really nervous, but Alan really put me at ease. Rustie Lee cooked her own version of Mango & Apple chutney and then, as I offered her a taste of our [very own, very special, very new] Mango, Apple & Perry Chutney. Poor Alan - we were going such great guns that he thought we might take over the show!

As if that wasn't enough fun and glitz, on 24th November we were lucky enough to attend as finalist at the Flavours of Herefordshire Awards dinner, with The Hairy Biker's as the guest of honour. It was a wonderful night, with fingers firmly crossed throughout. Imagine how delighted we were then to receive our very first award (we won a Commended Award, Small Food Producer), presented by the Hairy Biker's themselves!

It was a starstruck moment, but the very next morning feet were firmly back on the ground when we exhibited at the Flavours of Herefordshire Food Festival at the lovely Hereford Race Course. What a wonderful view and what a cracking good festival! For all our customers - old and new - it was really, really wonderful to meet you in person.

So how do we follow that?! Good question. In late November, I pitched my new idea to the Lion's Den at the UK Food & Drink Entrepreneur's Forum. This was a fantastic (if slightly daunting) opportunity, with a great chance to gain valuable feedback from the Executive Chef for Waitrose brand development and own label innovation; the Head of Procurement at Starbucks coffee; and the Head of Trading - Beverages at the Co-operative Group. Yes, I really was quaking in my boots, but they were pussy cats really! Feedback was really positive, as are predicted market trends (despite all the doom and gloom surrounding us), so I will be faithfully following up on this in 2009.

Well, it's time for me to sign off now, but I do wish you all the best for 2009 along with some good cheer.

See you soon at one of our forthcoming events or online at Taste the Good Life.net.

Best regards,

5th January 2009.

Please note: Although we have managed to get quite alot online we are still working on the stockists and recipes/blog areas!

Please bear with us - it'll be worth the wait. In the meantime, you will find some pages 'under construction' - we apologise for any inconvenience and will get these up and running for you as soon as possible. Our shop is now fully operational.
